Raley's wanted to educate their consumers on the effects of added sugar in everyday foods. These videos were such a success that Raley’s returned for another set of videos to educate shoppers about food additives and highlight the Raley’s Purely Made brand.
This series was comprised of four videos education about various additives and pointing consumers to the Purely Made Brand as an alternative. The folks at Raley's were excited to introduce a character named Yvette to consumers, who is their real life in house registered dietitian!
Turning Raleys Purely Made foods into characters themselves brought extra attention and a whole lot of fun to their brand!
I worked through many iterations to find the perfect way to represent sugar in this video. Utilizing endless streams of particles to create the sugar helped drive the point that there is an overwhelming amount of added sugar in unexpected places.
Using video as reference helps bring characters to life. I filmed myself doing the same actions as the characters so I could create more natural animations
These videos feature a style with a slight amount of transparency. This made for more thought and consideration into the designs and animations, but made for a beautiful and unique end product.
